most deals are not lost on price. They are lost because nobody asked the right question early enough. This is 10 Claude and Codex skills for the conversations between the first call and the signature.

they are built on published research rather than opinion. Gong's study of 519,000 discovery calls found the calls that go on to close surface three or four business problems, not one. The JOLT Effect research puts 40 to 60 percent of lost deals down to indecision, and 56 percent of those down to fear of getting it wrong rather than a rival. So none of these skills will manufacture a deadline for you: pushing urgency and scarcity backfired 84 percent of the time in the same data.

what they get you:

- ask the five questions that decide whether this deal is real
- find the cost of doing nothing, in their numbers
- show only the three things this buyer cares about
- answer the objection behind the objection
- write a proposal they can forward and defend internally
- hold your price without losing the deal
- give your champion the words to sell you inside
- reach the other decision-makers before the deal stalls
- agree the steps to signature so nothing surprises you
- learn the real reason you lost, not the polite one

the detail is specific because the sources are. price first raised on call one closed 42 percent of the time across 11,331 opportunities; left until call three, 15 percent. negotiating by email alone closed 5 percent, email and phone together 35 percent. a 50k to 250k deal that closes typically involves at least ten stakeholders, and evaluations that open with an executive ran about 6 percent worse than those bringing one in around the third touchpoint. across 1,000 closed-lost deals the buyer's reason and the seller's recorded reason agreed 15 percent of the time, which is why the last skill writes you a 30-minute buyer interview instead of a CRM dropdown.

half of them think it through in Claude, half get it done in Codex. one folder each. a minute to install.

no CRM to change, no team to train, no new tab open all day. you keep the way you already sell — these just stop the parts that leak deals. every figure above is linked to its source inside the pack, so you can check it before you lean on it.

10 skills. one complete system.
